Perth, the capital, is located on the Swan River and has all of the contemporary comforts while keeping a pleasant and casual atmosphere. The city is only a few minutes away from white sandy beaches. Inland, there are rich farmlands as well as some of the world's most fertile goldfields. The state's riches also includes iron, nickel, wheat, and wool, the majority of which are exported from the port of Fremantle. The north of the state is dedicated to gorges and national parks, as well as the gorgeous beaches of Broome and the welcoming dolphins of Monkey Mia.
